This DSPE Lunch Lecture on february the first is hosted by Demcon and is about “DemcAir – Project under Pressure”. The lecture will be given by Gerben van Oosterhout, senior project manager Medical Systems at Demcon.
More specific information about the lecture: “At the height of the first Corona wave, Demcon has been asked by the Dutch government to develop, release, and deliver a complete IC (intensive care) respirator within 3 weeks. The biggest challenges were to make a design that was as simple as possible, with parts that were sufficiently available, while it had to be a life-saving and safe system that could be used by the treating doctors and IC staff. How we managed this successfully is explained in this lunch lecture.”
